That must have hurt real bad! just never give up try and get back ino it slowly if it isnt going to be a major risk to your knee. Consult with your doctor and if he says its alritght then go hard!
why not to failure? i try to train to failure on my last 2 sets of every excersice and i am maxing out on almost every lift every workout. I've read this isnt good to do but with sufficient rest and nutrition could it be?
Do what you can handle, but always lift more wait no matter what. By this i mean some days i might train and end up adding 5-6 kilos to the previous weeks squats and feel it to be easy, and some weeks i might only go up a few pounds and really struggle. As long as your progressing its all good
