I change splits when I stop progressing.....
I usually have core exercises I stick to bu will substitue others every other workout or so as well as the order. However, I keep the compound movements always first.
I've tried various splits over the years...in one form or another...abs thrown in 2-3 days a week per energy level

That blows hard...you have the same stats I do....I unfortunately have problems with my shoulder but not to your extent. AC Joint, shoulder impingement, and rotator cuff problems. Luckily for me, therapy and cortizone helped some. Aint the same. You become really careful about warming up...
