Ok Cindy, I'll tell you.
I've been wanting to get my pink and white acrylics back on for awhile. I finally went yesterday to get them done at a place that came highly reccomended by a few friends.
Well, usually they cut your natural nail WAY down before applying the new nail. This gal didn't do that and who am I to question her techinque? So, I just sat there and let her have her way with me, putting on my nails however she saw fit. BIG mistake.
Right after that I went to the gym. While I was there I noticed that my long, natural nail was totally exposed and my new acrylic nail wasn't even stuck to my natural nail at the tips. There was a big, gross gap where stuff can get stuck and bacterial could grow!
YUCK! So, I went to get my little boy from preschool and high tailed it back to the salon. I told the lady the problem and she sat me down and proceded to cut and yank away my natural nail that was exposed under the acrylics. IT was horrendous! It really hurt!
Then they were jagged as all crap and she said she was done!!!!
At this point I was SO pissed! I said "you're just gonna leave them like that? They're gonna snag on stuff!" Then she said it was my fault cause I have a "stubby nail bed!"
I said, "I'm NOT happy with this!" And she grabbed my hand and proceded to drill them down with a drimmel tool.
I'm still seething about this! WWYD?
