Ladies~Who here has Acrylic Nails?

My wife gets them...(dunno if they're acrylic) and I'd like to punch her in the face everytime. What a waste of money IMO...and it seems like she goes back every couple weeks or months and has something done again. I could kill her...but I love her too damn much

they have to get filled where the real nail grows out. i like my wominz to have nice hands/nails

I find it incredible strange that you know this much about getting nails done...

:p

my sister-in-law use to do them out of her home. i was around a lot hangin with my bro. plus one of my ex's had them and would complain when she had to go get them filled in

Well, not flattering myself that anyone is holding out for an update but I feel compelled to document these facts here!!!

WOWOWOWOWOW! I had to get super duper ugly with the little Vietnamese gal tonight. I was shaking and just so pissed by the time I left outta there that I almost could not drive home safely. I NEVER get mad like that so I actually almost scared myself. :worried:

She refused to give me a refund but would only repair my nails! Screw that! I already gave her two chances. I came home and was still really pissed.

Anyhoo...I refuse to do that (anger) to my body and soul. My heart was just racing and my hands were shaking so bad that I had to take a deep breath and just let it go.

So, tomorrow I take pics of my botched nails, write a strongly worded letter to the health department and the BBB, send those letters certified and then just let it go.

BEing angry is toxic.

lmfao!

Ok Cindy, I'll tell you.

I've been wanting to get my pink and white acrylics back on for awhile. I finally went yesterday to get them done at a place that came highly reccomended by a few friends.

Well, usually they cut your natural nail WAY down before applying the new nail. This gal didn't do that and who am I to question her techinque? So, I just sat there and let her have her way with me, putting on my nails however she saw fit. BIG mistake.

Right after that I went to the gym. While I was there I noticed that my long, natural nail was totally exposed and my new acrylic nail wasn't even stuck to my natural nail at the tips. There was a big, gross gap where stuff can get stuck and bacterial could grow!

YUCK! So, I went to get my little boy from preschool and high tailed it back to the salon. I told the lady the problem and she sat me down and proceded to cut and yank away my natural nail that was exposed under the acrylics. IT was horrendous! It really hurt!

Then they were jagged as all crap and she said she was done!!!!

At this point I was SO pissed! I said "you're just gonna leave them like that? They're gonna snag on stuff!" Then she said it was my fault cause I have a "stubby nail bed!"

I said, "I'm NOT happy with this!" And she grabbed my hand and proceded to drill them down with a drimmel tool.

I'm still seething about this! WWYD?

Even I know that's not the way to put on nails.

call the owner of the salon and get a refund! That is not acceptable!!

+1

i've only gotten my nails done a couple of times and never went back for a repeat. they're more an inconvenience for me b/c i find it hard to grasp things when i have them on. :chomp:
