One of the bigs. Been considering going RIA in the near future and maybe starting a practice with 2 other guys. Working for myself sounds fun.
That is a good move. I think as soon as this company gets big enough to get bought out by another co. I am thinking of working as a bitch for a bank in there high net worth group I was actually offered a job with a newer regional bank but, no not yet. They provide you with the clients and the beni's and bonuses are nice! It's the stress that is getting old here.

Tell me about it. The thing about us as a company is they aren't big on supporting you to go out on your own (as opposed to the wirehouses like Merrill, Morgan, etc). Moving out on my own would probably have to consist of taking my book to LPL or something along those lines to ensure we have some type of back office and compliance support.

Wouldn't be surprised to see far more downside. Not that will happen but financials are dragging everyone down with them and there has been no disconnect thus.
