I posted that for a particular reason to show that I did read some good things there and because its pretty much the only part in your bible where it says you should try to treat the filthy black people with a bit of compassion.

Us filthy blacks need a bit of sympathy after all, having to deal with being cursed, wicked and evil like Satan "for the seed of Cain were black."

Did I say I was trying to get something out of this thread? Like I said, I have been reading the book of Mormon lately. I felt horrible for all the pure white Mormons so I wanted to reassure them as one of those dark-skinned people and therefore all the things that comes with that as clearly defined in the text that despite it all, black evilness is not as bad perhaphs.

I read in some bullshit evolution website that skin color is determined by the amount and type of the pigment melanin in the skin. It even went so far as to imply that in general, people with ancestors from sunny regions have darker skin than people with ancestors from regions with less sunlight. What a bunch of bullshit!

Again, and let me be more specific and clear, the lamanites were absolutely not of African ethnicity. In fact, they are specifically recognized as the ancestors to the native american indian people.

The dark skinned people in the Book of Mormon have absolutely zero ties to the african blacks, so you tying yourself to this and riding the "wagon of the oppressed" has absolutely no valid reason because you are of african decent, which has nothing to do with any group of people talked about in the BoM in even the slightest degree.
