Lyle McDonalds rapid fat loss plan...

so,
I am starting this thread as sort of a log...Im starting Lyle's rapid fat loss plan today for sort of the heck of it...
Im going as a cat 2 so thats one free meal a week and one 5 hr refeed a week.

I am normally low carb with IF, though not strictly lean gains ....Im going to go to maintenance into a strict lean gains type eating after this...last cpl of weeks my diet has been terrible.

my goal is to run this for two weeks but we'll see if I can even make it till the end of the week.
so far Im not even slightly hungry though I did break my normal eating habit by eating early in the day for me

I'll update as I tally up my macros in fitday...before I get pounced for the total lack of calories on this plan...thats the point of it
I haven't been eating clean the past two weeks so I suspect that water weight loss will be dramatic
I'll be lifting this evening with luck and babysitting..tho I intend to drop all of my weights and will probably be working on perfecting my form in my squat more than anything tonight.
 
the results look astonishing...I'm curious about it more than anything and figured if Im going to get back on the bandwagon this is as good a way as any
so far Im not particularly hungry but tonight will be the real tell given I generally only eat in the evening anyway

but I still have to fit 100 grams of protein in for the day so this shouldn't be too difficult to be full this evening anyway..lol
 
I'm in to follow too. I've read the book a few times but have never ventured down the road. Good luck!
 
alright so yesterday as a not totally prepared run went ok...turns out I had less lean meat sources than I thought...I wound up eating drained ground beef 90% cuz another memeber of my household ran off with my container of cooked chix

I wound up about 20g short of goal on protein and at like 30g of fat for the day only 5g carbs tho
my workout was fine but I usually do it fasted
I wasn't hungry at all but the biggest challenge is keeping "fat free"

no weight change as of this morning
 
I didn't have much luck with this diet. I did it for 3 weeks (about 6 wks. ago) and lost about 3 lbs. That's not exactly "rapid." I have read that low carbers going on RFL can stall out right away so that may have been my problem, since I went into the diet as a low carber. It does get great reviews but if you look, there are lots of folks that didn't do well. Since it's so extreme, I know I expect it to be rapid, as the name implies. I'm curious to see how it works for you. Lyle's site is mostly guys that do the diet and since their metabolisms are so different, I can't relate. Wish you the best of luck.
 
I'm actually pretty pissed about not having fats at this exact moment
my husband came home early from work because of an injury and he decided to bring me a lindt white chocolate coconut bar...for what reason I don't know because he knows Im doing this diet
I shoved it a drawer in my room and made myself a lb of grilled chicken breast...
I looked in my fridge miserably at my avocados..I know Im psyching myself out right now
but I cant believe how much more miserable I feel mentally not being able to have healthy fats

I popped an OEP and will go hit the gym in a little bit to remove the idea of food from my head
 
gym today wasn't awesome...I dropped reps in everything because my form on every single thing started to come loose
I also didn't bother with lunges but theyre my nemesis
I did back too but for some reason left the gym without doing rows

Im wondering if its in my head because I don't feel fatigued and my legs and back aren't sore

anyone have any idea when weight starts to come off? theres no way I'm not completely glycogen depleted
last two workouts (today and yesterday) I was drenched in sweat and shaking by the time I left the gym
