How long for Deca to kick in?

I've read it'll be about 8 weeks before I start to feel it, but something was definitely better tonight. The workout went better than it has in a while and I was even a bit tired to start. I'm only on my second week at a low dose (150 or so) to try and get my Tendonitis calmed down. Although I've also been doing GHRP/GHRH and recently IGF to try and get rid of the Tendonitis. I think it was the high Test-C and Creatine that did me in in the first place.

My next cycle will be moderate Test/Deca and probably some Anavar to help with the collagen synthesis for my old body.

Had my MRI last week, but still waiting for the report/follow-up. They gave me the pictures to look at, but nothing jumped out at me. BTWTFDIK. I did notice that they did not do the full hip front to back, as they did not do the SI joint or lower back. I guess that's considered another body part(s). :(

Deca never seemed to help with any of my tendon issues but what did (besides prolotherapy) was when I started mega dosing zinc and magnesium, both elbows went from too painfull to do pullups to 100% in about 5 weeks.

I've been taking Magnesium and whatever Zinc I get in my Prostate supps amd Multi-Mineral. I even tried some Cissus, so I'm not sure what is helping but most of the pain is gone from the side of my hip and the pain in the band around the top of the hip is much better; it's just the SI joint that bugs me, but I've had that for a while. I think I'll see the doc about getting the MRI for that, unless the clinic already did it, but did not include it for the price.

I suspect the IGF-1 has been a big help, considering I couldn't walk a few weeks ago. I can't wait to get back to some light cardio, before my gut starts to grow (more).

EFAs seem to help me with aches and pains....and I have alot...ALOT....but I mega dose EFAs, anti oxidants, get vitamin IVs with 50g Vit C a week or more if I have the time....Id have to check my supps when I have time but they have some stuff meant for helping with immflation...maybe tumeric or something

Stuff hurts like hell all over me, and now i need to spend as much time foam rolling and stretching as I do lifting, and when I can afford it getting massage and deep tissue work....

There is a huge difference between being at optimal zinc and magnesium levels and just taking zinc and magnesium supplements.

Just throwing some fictitious numbers out to make a point.

Look at it this way, if you body lets say can store 1000 unit and you use 100 a day and you consume 75 from food then you are losing 25 a day and will become extremely deficient in short order. Now if you start supplementing by taking 20 a day your still not not adding any to the bank just slowing the rate you become deficient.

Even if, using the above fictitious numbers, you ate 75 and supplemented 30 it would take a while to build back up to the 1000 your body can store.

In short, taking supplements doesn't guarantee your not deficient. Most athletes are deficient in zinc and magnesium, and when I say deficient I mean they are not at the absolute high end of lab range. Depending on your bodies needs, where you are and how much you consume you could quadruple your daily supplement dose of both for many months to get your levels up to where they need to be.

Long story longer, dont assume because you take supps you have optimal levels of anything.

Yeah I was taking pretty much everything over the past couple of years, but I can't say I notice much difference between being diligent and being lax. Although I admit that I have not been good about the supps the last few weeks, as work has been insane. This does not help my stiffness as I barely have time to crap, let alone get out of my chair. I do try to get my C, Fish Oil and CoQ10, B, Taurine, Arginine, Magnesium if nothing else.

The stretching definitely helps, along with the Physio visits, but most of the Physio is just Tens, which I can do at home. I may try a massage therapist for some tissue massage, but I think my annual insurance limit is tapped for such treatements

Agreed, my pharmacist is a good source of info on this stuff and her guage on Magnesium was to increase the dose until you start to crap yourself and then back off a bit. :-) I was taking about 800 mg a day without any issues. I was probably getting 100 mg of Zinc a day, whether that's enough I don't know.

LOL, thats a good one! But its the side to watch for when taking too much. Ive been taking about 1500mg magnesium and 120zinc for 2 months now and no sign of having too much of either yet. It can take quite a bit and quite some time to build to optimal levels.
