Although some drugs are more likely to be used before others (usually due to cost or accessibility) I don't believe they make it more likely for you to try other drugs. No direct correlation, but there are many indirect.

Seeking out drug-related experiences is a common theme across a huge number of cultures.

It's reasable to believe that some drugs act like stair steps toward escalating the experience. I seriously doubt there's a single heroin addict that wasn't a hard drinker or smoker first.

Because its so damn easily to kill yourself with it, I don't see any other choice but to ban it. Sad but true.

Philosophically though, I think anyone should be able to do with their own bodies as they see fit, include kill themselves. Heroin is prone to unintentional deaths though.

That's fine, but you were talking about heroin before.
A lot of people can put things up their nose now and then and not get addicted. Or pop a couple pills and go back to normal the next day.
Heroin, there are no real recreational heroin users. It's a one-way trip.

I've smoked Opium with no issues.
 
I know Rec H users...that a BS statement...Ima DJ I know LOTS of recreational drug users H included and they arent junkies they have jobs and everything, go figure.

Not the same, I have too. Neither is morphine.
Opium wasn't even as strong as some hash that used to go around (we called it hippy crack).
But I have known multiple people to try heroin (smoke or IV) and turn into junkies. A couple have OD'd.
Be careful you don't do too much or you can OD much easier if you're not used to it. I don't know why you would be so self destructive though-examine your motives.

LMAO @ Wait and See. I have known these people for 10 years and they may use H once a month, IF that, some maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I have never done it and wont ever personally but saying that there are ZERO H users that arent junkies is pretty much BS.
 
I too know some people who have smoked H and didn't get hooked.

Oxycontin and opium are heroin analogues. I've used both with no urge to use more.
 
Oxy is a devil substance but ummmm yeah I was scripted it, still am, and i can leave it in the medicine cabinet and not touch it...but apparently this stuff kills people, ruins lives, and makes people not able to work?

You people are ur crazy made up fantasy lands... :-)
 
The people I have known who did Heroin have died from drug overdoses for the most part or went to rehab. I have never known a heroin user who did not have serious life issues that also led them to heroin. Heroin should be illegal and I don't think oxy's should be handed out like candy. If you have tried them you would know they are bad news.
