Difference between mas gainers and whey protein

Tela

Can anyone tell me what is the difference betweenmass gainers and whey protein? I looked in the ingredient list, andthey are both mostly made with protein – so why is the differentname?

Usually, mass gainers are aimed to making one gain mass – no matter the quality. Therefore, they will usually also include tons of sugar and carbs, and other shit you don't really need in your body, but which will make you gain weight – not necessarily muscle mass. Whilst whey protein is that - whey protein that is used to fill in the gaps in your diet protein-wise.

Mass gainers are basically a whey protein supplement with additional carbs/fats added. They have much more calories then a whey protein supplement.

A good quality whey protein supplement is basically straight protein - only trace amount of carbs/fat

A mass gainer shake - lots of protein, fats and carbs

They are very different. Mass gainers are filled with garbage ingredients like sugars and bad fats just to get the calories up. Whey is just whey and a few ingredients. Check out n2bm for a really good quality protein.
