when i was at the gym today i was talking to this guy...and he was telling me is was like mr teenage america and all of this and he knew arnold and forrigino and zane...his name is Jimmy something..anyways he was showing me this routine where for day 1 i did chest back and abs and i supersetted chest and back like this:
)bench press) then back (lat pulldown)w/
26 reps, 4-6, 4-6, 8-12, 8-12, 26
then the same with incline bench and cable pulley rows

then the next day to do shoulder, bis and tris

same "settage" (i just made that up) w/ military press supersetted w/ bent over lat raises
then do bicep curls supersetted with tri pushdowns..and thats it for arms (doesnt seem like enough)

then the next day we do legs and traps...

and do abs and calves often

how does this sounds and sorry it was so long

thanks

Just copying someone's routine seems kind of ignorent. Do you know what his diet is, how long he's been training, if he's on gear? All this should be taken into acount before you attempt to immitate his workouts.

The idea isn't new. It has been shown that training opposing muscle groups in a superset or jump set fasion makes the agonist muscle stronger. For example, you do a set of bench, then rest a minute, then do a set of chins - you'll be stronger on the chins than if you did them by themselves, and you'll be stronger on your next bench set. If you are cutting up, use supersets for more GH release, but if you're after mass, use jump sets (1-2 min. break between sets for opposing muscle groups). Your workouts will take less time and be more intense. It's almost like cheating because you give each muscle a longer break while its agonist is being trained.

I believe that super sets are 'ok' to do. Just don't overboard. The routine sounds something like Arnold's, except that Arnold had more super sets.

Those are called 'alternates'. By working two opposing muscle groups, you keep your strength during the entire workout. It gives great pumps.
