hey bro i know what you're saying. First time i gained 15 pounds, then next time 10, and it just kept going downhill from then on. Give yourself a big break from it, that's helped me. A break like 2-3 months then go take it again. But you will never gain like the 1st time in my opinion.
And yes i tried effervescent i think it's crap. Best i've used is Prolab Creapure, it's the best i've taken

I'm in the same boat. When i was about 16 i gained like 20 pounds. But after that my body hasn't responded anywhere near that.

A few things about Creatine, (1) yeah, your receptors can dull with prolonged or over useage and absorption can diminish, (2) insulin "spikes", brought on by high-glycemic carbs, enhances creatine absorption (e.g. Phosphagen HP, Cell Tech, AST Creatine HSC, etc.) (3) the best times to take creatine are immediately after workouts, and first thing in the A.M., and (4) you need to drink a lot of H20 when on Creatine.

As a sidenote, a small % of people are unresponsive to Creatine---if you have had results then you can respond provided you cycle and use it properly.

Forget about Effervescent and Liquid Creatine (until they create a truly stable form) just use an enhanced delivery Creatine or "enhance" your powder Monohydrate with Grape Juice or something with a high-glycemic sugar/carb content. My best results have come from EAS Phosphagen HP and Cell Tech.

I agree with Risky..take a long break off then come back on, i usually only take creatine during the summer months then come off during the winter and early spring...

The body does make small amounts of it, and a some amount is found in some foods like steak. But yet again, here is another supplement that can be compared to their anabolic brothers. If you take test for six months straight, eventually your not going to see it helping very much, not to mention that your balls are going to shut off. With creatine you need to do burst cycles, with time off in between to allow the body to return to equalibrium and calm before you nail it again.
