yes I'm asking again, we got a new crop of peoples. I don't want name brands unless necessary. do not include gear, or prohormones. talking nutritional supplements only. things like melatonin, or 5-htp are ok to add too. and don't bother to write "good diet" cause obviously that IS the most important "supplement"

I'll go first:
1. Whey protein, MRP's
2. Multi-vitamin
3. Flax-seed oil
4. Creatine
5. digestive enzymes (overlooked and very beneficial to those on a high calorie, or high protein diet)

I suppose you can add some "accessories" that you use occaisionally. cause I will
melatonin, kava kava, ephedrine HCI,

EVERYONE RESPOND.

1. Whey protein, MRP
2. Multivitamin
3. Creatine - Effervescent has best uptake
4. Suma Sterol Extract - (Zebutol) test booster, adaptagen (a little pricey but effective)
5. ECA - When trying to lose fat

1 + 2 I use regularly.
3 + or 4 for bulking
5 for cutting
(3, 4, and 5 always drink excessive water when on)

I consider whey protein and flax oil as part of my food budget section and not supplement. but here is a rough estimate of what I use for both cutting and bulking.

BULKING:
1. Flax oil (or canola due to taste)
2. Whey protein
3. Vitamin C/E/multi-vitamin
4. Sometimes Creatine if I get a hair up my ass.

CUTTING:
1. Whey protein
2. Flax oil
3. Ephedrine/Caffeine/Yohimbine stack
4. ALA
5. Vitamin C/E/multi-vitamin
6. HCA as a appetite/carb depressant.

***Lately I have been taking a Melatonin/Kava Kava stack for sleep and have been pretty impressed. I didn't think it would do anything, but it has. I'll have to give a big THANK-YOU to Valdez on this one because I was feining for something that would take the place of my Vicodin/Klonopin/Xanax which i stopped doing.

this is a good list, let's get some more replies!

Mr. BMJ there is a supplement called "knock out" by schiff. it's melatonin, kava kava, valerian root, gaba. it works fairly well too. I have been interested in 5-htp lately but would rather get my hands on L-tryptophan because it is a precurser to many other functions that 5-htp will not have. good for cognitive function, sleep, and serotonin regulation. (for my show horse of cours )

keep the list going!

Question, what the hell is flax oil? I'm guessing that it is a very healthy form of fat that one needs for protein synthesis, right or wrong? And what brand of this oil is recommended (taken as supplement or eaten while cooking)? And Valdez, what's the deal with digestive enzymes? Is there a product out there to aid with that too? Man, I've been out of the supplement game too long!!!

These are the things that i have actually noticed a difference when i've taken them. I've tried so many supplements that never have done anything. You know, the stuff in magazines that have the two page ads. Now I don't even read stuff like that anymore. So here they are.
1. Whey pro. + MRPs
2. Creatine (only with juice or dextrose)
3. ECA, Probably one of the only supplements that can cause the biggest noticable differences in the way your body looks.
4. Glutamine (i have noticed a difference in the amount of weight I can handle if i take 5-10 grams 40 min before my workout
5. Vitamins especailly antioxidants like C+E
I take other things sometimes, like zinc and magnessium before bed, but just buy them apart and its so much cheaper. Zinc is actually essential to testosterone procuction.

Flax oils are heavily concentrated with Essential Fatty Acids, which the body requires to preform hundreds of processes in the body. look it up on the net, you'll find alot of info.

the best brand of flax that I have used is "barlean's" a good flax oil will be a brownish color while a poor quality one will be golden, and less viscous. George Spellwin has really good flax oil too, check it out on this site.

digestive enzymes are extremely helpful if you are consuming a high calorie diet, it allows more of the nutrients to be broke down and absorbed by the body. it is a must for anyone consuming 4500+ cal without the use of AS (AS increase protein synthesis, and nutrient absorbtion.)

yeah, the oil is not only cheaper than the caps but is usually of a higher quality ingredient. also the oil is supposeldy UV sensative so the transparent capsule may degrade some of the quality, also the heat process used to cap them may degrade quality a little etc. etc. I think the big issue is that the quality of the oil is just better in the bottles (more omega's, darker, richer oil)

These are the obvious choices:
1- Whey
2- Glutamine
3- Creatine
4- Vitamin E/C
5- Flaxseed oil

One supplement that I take for BB reasons is FIBER. Psyllium( found in metamucil) helps the body digest large amounts of protein. I'll take about a 1.5 tablespoons a day. You guys may laugh, but what's the point of eating all that protein if you can digest it properly.

are you serious about the fiber thing? didn't know that! but doesn't a dry 50g serving of pasta have like 3g fiber in it, hat some brown bread cereals etc. thought that would be enough. ive taken pyllium before and its some good shit! (literally)
anyhow now i've finally started taking all this seriously, in no particular order

1. whey protein/casein
2. glucosamine sulphate
3. multivitamin and mineral
4. vitamin E and selenium ACE (on cardio days your immune system is totalled so need lots of antioxidants!)
5. ginko bilbao and ginseng (keeps me alert)

Flax oil (15%) of total calories.

Creatine with alpha lipoic acid

Multivitamin and mineral

Anti-oxidant complex

Ascorbyl palmitate

Glutamine

ECAY (even while on a gaining cylce)

I mix my glutamine and flax oil in with my protein drink. I also add spirulina and bee pollen for my GLA (omega 6), and all the micronutrients that the synthetic supplements don't include.

Yes, I was serious. Basically, there are to types of fiber: Soluble and Insoluble. The ones you've mentionned are dry fiber, aka Insoluble. Most BB get enough of that anyway . Soluble fiber are the ones found in fruits, oats(not processed), and legumes(beans, lentils and peas for example.) An apple has 3 grams of fiber and a pear has 5g.

The bottom line is you need 10-15 g of fiber per 1000 cals. And I think, I'm not sure, that 30% of your fiber sources must be soluble.

cool cheers for that. psyllium is soluble (i think) because i tried mixing it with water, expecting it to puff up. it just formed a slurry

oh i forgot to mention, if anyone takes cod liver oil, switch soon because thy're cracking down on cod fishing (not many cod left). good alternatives are Krill, flax, green lipped mussel extract and fish oils, all high in essential fatty acids.

You are partially right. Soluble fibers are almost never only soluble, but rather both. For example, pea fiber is about a third soluble which is a reasonnable amount. Psyllium fiber has one of the highest % of soluble fiber.

1.-Powder Protein (Soy & Whey)
2.-Flax Seed Oil (sometimes Leticin)
3.-Multivitamin (normal and extra c)
4.-ECY
5.-Creatine (effective and very cheap)

1.-Whey protein is only good on post training... if used 5 mrp it is best to combine it with soy wich has an number of health benefits, diggests easily and is veeeeeeeeeeery cheap

1.-flax oil and essential fatty acids, and i also use leticine for health benefits and because i use piracetam one in a while

2.-mutivitamin always necessary cus no one has a perfect nutrition and we whant to be healthy a part from b & s

3.-multivitamin is excelent for health and basicaly makes everything else work better, it is something to be noticed in the long run

4.-ecy... u can skip the y... u can get loads of aplications for it
-cheap
-efective when cycled
-efective again
-there has to be at least une sup devoted to fat burning on the list
-Yohimbe makes it more effective and is amazing for sex

5.-creatine is not that great for muscle building but
-nice to train on it (cycle it)
-cheap
-imediate effects

valdez, why is extra calcium so important? does it assist in protein synthesis? I would think that abyone on a high protein diet uses some sort of protein from a dairy source, i.e. whey therefore i dont see why the extra calciumis needed if alreadyobtained through food, please correct me if i'm wrong or just elaborate.

my top five, not used in conjunction but cycled depending upon goals would be-
1.multi-vitamin: always
2.Protein: at least 1g/lb of body weight
3.glutamine: always but especially helpful to stop muscle catabolism during dieting
4.Thermogenic: during a cutting phase only (one of the few supplements that actually works)
5.Creatine: can be used while other bulking or cutting, but more cost effective when cutting (however, make sure the creatine you use while cutting does not have alot of sugar- Labrada's sugar-free creatine cooler works well)
****other non-crucial extraneous supps that will help if you got extra cash lying around would be 1,4 butanediol (get it while you can), some prohohormone products (also depends on other circumstances like age, gender), Essential fatty acid combination or flax seed oil,ZMA,and maybe some of the Zoe products (I tried MEP and liked it, and am about to start using zebutol).

DO NOT WASTE YOUR $ ON ANY METHOXY PRODUCT
