I personally thought it was not very good...it had sooo much potential but fell way short of my expectations...they could have gotten a better psycho too...jusso what'd you think?

------------------
My father was a relentlessly selfimproving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts for being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring wed make meat helmets. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Wilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum...its breathtaking. I suggest you try it.

i haven't read the book yet but i really enjoyed that movie and i have watched about 6 times and i feel i understand more each time i watch it. You don't really know if he committed these murders or not.

he didn't commit them...it was pretty obvious....the only redeeming parts were when he talked about huey lewis, phil collins, and whitney houston...that was truly hysterical...

Don't be so quick to judge Special_bill. I know some people who have read the book and they disagree with you..

I read the book it was my favorite in college I would read it to some of my one nite stands just to make the sex more interesting.I would read parts about Bateman bringing girls home that he just met and did horrible acts of violence and torture to them(you could see the fear in their eyes when they realize that they have only known you for about an hour)

bateman did the murders.
read the book it is unnerving, to say the least

brett easton ellis has publicly said he didn't commit the murders, that it was a play on the impotence twenty-something males feel in this increasingly feminized society...

at least you admit it.

I mean everyone is entitled to their own opinion that is why that movie/book is so good. Plus when he tell's prostitute #1 to not just stare at Prostitute #2's ass but to eat it... That is classic.

In college, I wanted to bone this girl real bad ,finally she agreed to a date. I took her out barhopping then to my home.I got her pretty drunk. She saw the book on my bedstand and she told me that she has read some parts, but not much because it got disgusting.
Anyway I tell her that I really love this book.So she says "Why don't you read your favorite section."With a sly grin, I go to the kitchen and return with a steak knife and start reading.
We had some terrific sex that night. And I hope whenever she looks at her right ankle she still thinks of me.

I thought it was an excellent movie. A lot of people didn't get the movie, but I considered it to be a black comedy. My favorite part is when he is watching himself in the mirror while screwing the 2 prostitutes, that was some funny sh!t !

It's one of my favorite books and movies of all time. The book was much more graphic than the movie. You also get to know more of what happened in some of the scenes and why he did certain things. One of my favorite scenes is when he axe murders Paul Allen. It's sick but it's so fucking funny to me somehow. My girlfriend says I remind her of him. I really don't know if I should take that as a compliment or not....

We had our own Bateman wannabe in toronto, so believe me, the book OR the movie somewhat pales in comparison to the gory details of real life.
