I cant believe how the democrats are handling this. They have made a mockery of our United States political sytem with no evidence to support their claims of "fraudulent" voting. What makes matters worse is that the media is just fueling the fire. If someone could not figure out that Palm Beach ballot than they are an idiot and probably should not be voting in the first place.

the ballot was designed by democrats, its thier own fault.

Recount in New Mexico just cost Gore the state.

Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It realizes that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve to death.

The moral?

It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle, when the sun comes up - you had better be running.

It's not time to concede yet. I think he should wait for the over seas ballots to be counted then he should abide by that decision. Unless they discover "HUGE" discrepancies this weekend while doing the hand count. If not they probably should just correct this ballot problem for the next election. Stupid fucks weren't smart enough to do it when they had the same problem in 96, maybe this will wake those dumbasses up.

I think slabcat is right on the money about the absentee ballots. I am an ardent Bush supporter and I believe any candidate worth a damn would not concede until all the votes are counted in a situation like this. Now, if Gore wants to take legal action after next week, then he has gone too far and will probably kill what's left of his political career (which could be substatial considering how close the race was).

I completely agree Gore should conceded now. Hes made our country look completely and totally inept with all this challenges and recounts.

Why concede when all the votes haven't been counted? I'm not talking about the recount, but the first count of the absentee ballots which have until next Friday to be delivered.

Gore should not concede. Wait for the absentee & oversea ballots to be counted. I think since the Bush party has recounted the N.M. votes, Gore should do the same(in the other states he lost by a few points).

Gore's campaign manager said; If Bush & Dick win, they'll stand behind our President-Elect.

GORE is a whining bitch, now they are pushing for a hand recount since they did not like the answers the computers gave them.
I challenge any human to even approach the accuracy of a computer in mathematics.
Not to mention computers can not be corrupted.

I will be quite frank here,
1. To have Bill Clinton remain in office would require him to essentially declare martial law and suspend the Constitution

2. The effect that would have on the country would be devastating.

3. We would then have a true dictatorship

4. With martial law in place Clinton can have the military go into every house and store and seize every weapon.

5. Why would he do this, (seize the weapons) to ensure that the will of the people is not exercised

This situation with the vote is as dangerous as it is amusing. Without a winner, be it because it is tied up in courts or whatever, Clinton could quite conceivably do just what I described.

Also, without a clear winner by the sixteenth of December I believe, the electoral college can cast their votes and they may cast them from Florida based on their person choice. Especially if Florida has not declared a winner there.

This means that instead of losing by hundreds or thousands, it would almost certainly be by single digit numbers. And who do the people of the electoral college support on a personal basis? The fate of the country could be determined by 538 voters, instead of the 100+million voters.
