No disrespect intended, the US have the greatest armed forces in the world, but do you think that Saddam knew he was going to be shafted anyway and fought his side of the war with that in mind?

He seemed to keep his airforce out of harms way by grounding them/flying them to Iran.

Alot of his elite Republican Gaurd weren't committed to the war.

His frontline troops seemed for the most part to be reservists etc.

What if Saddam had fought the war like he talked about it 'the Mother of all Battles'

I know he would never have won it, but would he have made more of an impact then he did?
