Global Positioning Systems.

I'm gonna start making deliveries for work and think its a good investment to get a GPS since I'm not to familiar w/ the areas I make deliveries to.

I'm not sure which one is the best and heard you can hook one up to a palm pilot. Anyone know anything bout them?

I love gps - I have a pretty cool textbook on them here that explains how it all works in great detail... love it.

I have a handspring and looked into getting the plugin for it that has gps, but then after looking around, there are much better and cheaper ones that are standalones.
as for which is best - do you want it only in your car? then size and waterproof won't matter, nor will battery - but if you want it outside, then weight, size, battery, and materials will all matter.

I'll probably be using it primarily in my car, but since I drive around in a bad neighborhood I would want it to detach at least. I was looking into the Garmin Street Pilot.

Do you like the color or b&w ones better? Or is that just on preference?

Everyone I know that owns a Garmin LOVE them. I haven't looked at them in about a year - but last I looked the color wasn't that good, but cost a lot more. obviously if you want color though, go for it if you are willing to pay for it.
