Are there any good books out there that detail Marine boot camp as well as tell the common folk how to perform the infamous "Marine death moves"??

Thanks,
H

Sure, but then I'd have to kill ya. There is one called Marine it is very good at describing boot camp.

Watch full metal jacket the entire boot camp scene is exactly what I went through to a tee!

No death moves, there top secret

They don't have a special 6 week program that just lets you go through Marine boot camp do they?

Like those camps for fat people?

I'm intrigued

There is no one branch that ALWAYS moves first. They all want to to get the publicity and look good for the people back home. They usually all get to do something.

Uhh, I'd be glad to show you the moves I know.

when war begins they 1st finger brigade is sent in first followed by the 2nd finger and then maybe a 3rd depending on the size of the enemie's shore line.
the tounge artillery is then introduced to soften up the defences and make way for the Penis infiltration force, after the infiltration force it well behind enemy lines then it sends out its special strike sperm squat which will seek out the enemy and then all attack surounding the enemy, once the enemy is surounded it is each soldier for himself, the victor gets to live in this filthy hell we call earth.

Yeah, what BRR said. Actually depending upon the theater of operations it could or could not be the Marines. Uusually it is. We have supplies all over the globe stored on huge ships so we can mobilize much faster than other branches. In covert operations it could be anyone depending on the mission.

Boot camp is was 8 weeks during Vietnam, Korea, and WWII and WWI.

Peace time it is 16 weeks now. 12 weeks for the first three phases (the standard) and then another 4 weeks at ITS (infantry training school)

This is my rifle this is for fighting. This is my gun this for fun.

Mr. H,
As A former Infantry Marine I must tell you that too many jarheads flap their gums about how tough and bad they THINK they are. Lots of pussy losers in the Corps. Most don't even hold combat military specialties. The ones who flap their gums the most are usally the ones who get their ass handed too them on a regular basis. I know my fellow marines may piss on me for my comment but I know it's the truth. Marines are the BEST but not every Marine.

That may be true but, I was in the Marines long before most here were out of diapers and been through a war. I may not hold an infantry slot, but I will hand just about anyone their ass including infantry/recon and so on.

Infantry Marine, so you must think that the ony good Marine is a ground pounder huh?

Negative, just too many loud mouths who give us a bad reputation. I love the Corp and will die as a Marine.

The biggest bullshit line I got from a guy I worked with who is a marine is "I'm not afraid to die and I don't believe in god." IF YOUR ASS IS IN THE TRENCHES AND ARE BEING SHOT AT, I PUT MY MONEY THAT YOU WILL START PRAYING AND WILL BE SHITTING IN YOUR PANTS BECAUSE YOU ARE SCARED YOUR ASS MIGHT GET CLIPPED ANY SECOND.

I remember watching a movie about wars and one of the sergeants saying "When you are in war and are on the battle field, if you don't believe in god, you better have a great substitute." Another line I remember is when the sergeant said, "I don't know about you but I am going to pray to every religious head hancho I can think of; I am going to pray to the budda, to moses, to jesus, to muhammed and god please forgive if I left anybody out." It might be just a movie, but I would be doing the same exact thing.

No, I got out in Sept 91 I went in in 83, got out in 86 and went back in 89.

I am waiting to see if my reenlistment in the reserves goes through and if I can still do a three miler. I am sure I can especially for my age group 36. Of course being 70 pounds heavier (muscle) really sucks for doing sit ups and pullups.

To say your not scared is a lie, it is as you say how you function. I am not scared to die, I am more afraid of being clipped and having no arms and legs or being horribly disfigured and such and surviving that scares me.

Read my sig, it may be from a movie, but that is what I believe.

Wazup? How's the C.O. doing? Sleeping well I hope? Causing any trouble in da house?
