Yeah i cant get stuff anywhere cheap, i kinda have pricy taste. Its not due to the label or prestige, it just looks better. i get something at wal mart or kmart, and it looks bad, and wears out quickly from my past experience.

mad (or should we call you motor now?),

It's NOT the same thing. I used to wear Kmart/Walmart/AnyMart clothing when I was in my early teens. I can now be found roaming through the hallway at school in nothing less than Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Alfani, Beene, and tons of other types of clothing. It is DEFINATELY not the same thing.

The material, the design, the feel of it - nothing compares, and nothing beats it unless it's an even more expensive design.

My weakness is shoes, though. I've been wearing the same pair of black leather Sketchers for the past 2 years (they look brand new, though). I just never go out, so I don't see a reason to spend $100+ on shoes, but I would in a heartbeat.

Keep in mind, though, that it's not about label shopping. It just so happens that the better clothing DOES have a particular name on the label.

Things are changing now. When I can, I go with straight up Nike gear or whatever. But professional repsonsibilities are increasing.....so I am starting to accumulate quality stuff.

Steel, email me too. I can't get through to your email.

mad,

Go through an expensive clothing store one day. Don't look at a single price. Just find the best shirt or pair of pants that you can. Then, regardless of price, buy it.

You'll see that it's not "just as good."

Trust me. =)

I bought an 8$ sweatshirt at Walmart that looks just about the same as the 80$ sweatshirt my mom bought me for X-mas.
Believe it or not, Walmart has shit that looks and fits like designer big name clothes. But Walmarts is like 90% cheaper, just not name brand.

Its good cause If I spill stuff on Walmart clothes, I really don't care.

OMG!!!! There IS A HUGE difference!!!! Clothes DO make the man!!(to a degree) Being able to wear a sick outfit like Armani,Diesel or Prada makes you feel good.People won't like you because you can buy crazy outfits, but THEY WILL talk about you if you waer some dumb shit from Kmart or Walmart.Girls seem to find clothing on guys VERY important. My wife& I both LOVE clothes.First impressions are FOREVER!!

Gap, Abercrombie, Banana Republic to work and what not. Gap, Abercrombie, and Old Navy sweats/T-shirts to lift. Not overly expensive clubwear on the weekends. Quality clothing, but not too much Armani stuff for me...I'm not trying to look like a pimp. That usually gives the impression that you're trying too hard to look rich. But trust me, I get laid plenty enough for my taste. Isn't that what matters? LOL

How do wearing nice clothes make you more of a man???
Hell I could wear sheep skin and look better than most people..
if you look good and have a nice body u could wear anything and still look good.
Clothes dont mean shit..
Now if ur going for a job interview yea u want to look presentable...but they still dont make u anymore or less of a man.

I have to say..since my brothers piece got a hold of him shes made him dress in more expensive threads and I have to say..it shows. At Christmas all his buds came back and all partied at my house,..they all looked like they fell off a beer truck but my bro looked like a freaking model....a little overdone perhaps for a party at his sisters place, but its second nature to him now. He nver dresses shitty anymore.

When my mom asked my BF what he wanted for his birthday he said "clothes like kats brother wears"

Personally I mix and match....designer with thrift...and I NEVER pay full price for anything.
Id rather spend my money on books and instruments.
