This past week I have done it a few times and it can get addictive. I have recently been doing sauna/jacuzzi at night and my sleep has been outstanding.

Anyone else experience this? I recommend it.

My gym doesn't have either of these or I'd give it a try. I've been sleeping like a rock anyway. Where the hell do you work out? Ballys?

Sauna and steam room are very benificial to circulatory system and losing body fat. Especially if done at end of workout and cardio. It is always in my routine when getting ready for a contest.

I have a question..I have a shower stall in my basement and I wanted to know if you could just let the hot water run and u sit there. Would it have the same effect as a sauna or steam room?

Steam rooms are great for anyone with respiratory promblems. It is even good for allergies, clears sinuses and nasal passages, helpful with asthma and bronchitis......kinda like a great big humidifer. Not to mention, it soothes muscle aches, treats rheumatism, bursitis, etc.

Sauna's have less humidity than steam rooms but still feel great.

You may want to try doing Yoga after being in the sauna....stretches the spine and loosens the muscles even more......talk about a good night's sleep....it's heaven and I can think of alot worse things to be addicted to. Enjoy it!!!

Pandora - I did a yoga class once right after the sauna...incredible. Unfortunately now I don't have the time...:-( but yeah I remember that distinctly.

I have access to both the sauna and hot tub. How long do you usually stay in for?

Rex,

I stay in as long as I want, or more accurately as long as I can bear.
I'm lucky enough that it is my friend's house so I don't have to pay for it.

Another little trick is to go outside after rotating from sauna to tub or vice versa...yes it is freezing (I'm in NY) but the jump from extreme heat to cold is very invigorating, yet relaxing.

Very popular among Scandinavians I hear. Try it if you can.

I'd use the sauna at my gym, but it's always full of naked 70 year old men who smile at me.

Matt - By the way, Thank You for the advice about Atlanta......I'm thinking of driving down in the next couple of weeks to visit and check out the apartments the company has leased (don't know the location yet).
I had no idea you were back in New York, but I may still have a few questions to ask you about the area....thanks again, Ginger
