Went to the Bahamas and had a blast, Free Port was a pit, but the snorkling was great. Nassau was a pit as well, except for the dock area and Paradise Island. But what I learned most was that the majority of people should never wear a bathing suit. There were more fat bodies laying around the pool; I wanted to push people over the rail so they could swim out to sea. The thing that killed me most is everyone just kept eating. You could almost see them getting fatter by the second. Oh well, at least I was lookin good.

After spending time in Cozumel and seeing the types of people that were coming in by cruise ship, I have no desire to take one. I'm sure this isn't fair to categorize people who enjoy cruises this way, but it seemed like nearly every person that was overweight, rude, or wearing some tacky "tourist" clothing were from a docked cruise ship. I'm sure there are plenty of young, polite, athletic types on cruises. And getting to visit several exotic locales in a short period of time is attractive. But something about being locked on a floating buffet with hundreds of gluttons doesn't appeal to me. | ||

the botanical gardens in freeport are nice .. the beach was nice as well in freeport. I remember going to see the dophins in Nassau, and shopping, and being offered coke almost everywhere I went! Did you go to key west? | ||

I've been on a cruise w/ my mom when I was about 10 yrs. younger. I want to go again w/ my hubby! I'd rather lay by the pool & tan somewhat & eat only when I need to. I can honestly say I had places in my mouth where I'd eaten so much citrus when I went on my cruise!!! Oh well, I enjoyed it and want to go back again. I think it would be fun to get a group of friends together & go on a cruise! ------------------ |
