I hereby declare this thread to be the Official XFL Debut Thread. For those of you watching the NY/NJ Hitmen vs. Las Vegas Outlaws game tonight, please post your commentary in this thread so that I don't have to click a million links to see all XFL commentary.

Thank you. That is all.

Two minutes + delay until kickoff.

Whoa! They showed the payoff shit. Winning team splits a $1 mill bonus. Not bad.

its settling down now, too much talk and show at first. it was shaky with the camera work and mics but now it seems to be getting into more play action. i like it so far and im not really a football fan. the little interview with the qb and that cheerleader was gay though. "penetrate" etc...she was like "what a cheeseball" hehe, but shes getting paid to be interested.

Yea, now they're getting more into football and less into show. The QB interview WAS kind of lame, though. I did like the little on-field interview with the "HE HATE ME" guy.. lol

Did you see the Hitman who clotheslined the QB? That shit ruled... hahaha

Don't know why Wally Richardson isn't the QB for NY- he was one of Penn States best QBs, staistically, ever.

I love the fact some guy has "He Hate Me" on his jersey.

I don't think it's all that great. They have some cool rules and the on field cameras give you a much better sense of the game.

But the play is weak. The Las Vegas/NY game has been pretty sad from a football standpoint. I'll take Randy Moss or Marshall Faulk over any of these guys.

I also don't like the camera angles from behind the offense. It's good as a change of pace, but I like the NFL side camera view much better.

There should be fights after every play and shit getting out of control like the WWF. Otherwise it's like watching Div. III football.

The cheerleaders are nice though

I don't know about you, but this is much more entertaining than the "3 failed completions and then a punt" piece of crap that the Superbowl was.

Oh, and that Outlaw who just got the interception got smashed nicely. =)

The one thing I do like is that the players are not pussified, yelling at the ref every 2 seconds to throw a flag like the bithces in the NFL.

They just play the game and take the hits.

slickdadd: keep in mind this isn't going up against the NFL, just the boring as hel (IMO) NBA. nothing else is playing...oh wait hockey but that's nothing to me either.

the game is a bit different but i am thinking they should have shaken up the rule sets even more, basically to the point of making it as different to the NFL as arena football.

Yeah its not polished as much as the NFL, but this is the first game of the first season, so this should be expected. The great thing is that these guys are not making a whole lot of cash 30 to 50K(?) and they're putting their bodies on the line.

They really need to keep the cameras on the cheerleaders or on the field but NOT on the crowd. Those people in the stands make Oakland Raider ticket holders look like rocket scientists.

Love this shit talking by the players also.

i hope the nfl does not copy that,i think the camera angles are confusing it reminds me of a video game ,also all the side interviews etc,i would watch arena football over xfl anyday,i am just watching it because it is new,i hope it stays alive though just because its another football league,

from a football fans point of view i think the skill and speed sucks compared to nfl,and d1 ,its like looking at a natural bodybuilding magizine (which would never make it) versus flex with all the pictures of the freaks everyone buys that
this is just my opinoin

I loved that clothesline in the first game.... then it switched over and it was even better.. close game, I loved it. It was cool with the one second left on the cloth.. they had one more chance to do it...

overall, it was a lot better than the nfl. XFL has a great future. can't wait to see games when its RAINING, then its really going to get down and DIRTY.

indeed, the cheerleaders were making sure to shake their implants. hoorah.

I think the football at the start of the game should be on the 50 yard line..with 1 player from each team on opposing 30 yard lines..facing each other. First one to get the ball gets to choose kick or receive... now that would be cool...overall I liked it..

I was at the game. It was pretty cool. Not much different from an NFL game. I was hoping to see someone get creamed after a punt but it was still a good game. GO O-TOWN RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW there were girls flashing their shiot and the level of talent may not have been as high but that's what was so good. It was like a college football game. The NFL's players are so good that the game is boring. Just short gains and a periodic bomb every other game. This game had bombs like crazy and had a lot of tauting. And yes the sounds that were heard were the mic's in the helmets of players. You should hear it when they hit each other or when they are talking trash after a tackle.

This is bad ---college level is more put together----Cameras suck and half the players shouldnt even be on the field----These guys dont have more balls then the nfl---They are told what to do. or their will be another ups driver ready to take their job for 40 grand---Ratings are the only thing that matters and within a year this thing will be one giant write off for mcmanon---Probably already planned! The names on the back of the shirt tell you what a joke this is--

I was at the Orlando game and I must say that it was one of the most fun experiences I have ever had. The football was exciting, the cheerleaders were hot, the fights in the stands were plentiful, and to top it off three chics flashed their breasts.

How can you possibly ask for anything more than that!?

I cant believe the people of MN put up with him taking the job for the xfl---He stated how he does it on the weekends and he is the governer just during the week. Thats the stupids thing Ive ever heard. If he truly cared for the people, that would be his only concern(job)

Somehow I don't think that there's that much going on in Minnesota where Mr. Ventura has to be there on a Saturday Night. I could be wrong however. (Not a knock on the state and the nice people who live there)

Yeah maybe not, but what kind of job is he doing? He is collecting a salary from the taxpayers their. How can you take a guy like that seriously to govern your state.

Hey Kwai-Chang Caine where were you sitting? I was about four rows up from the girls flashing and about another three rows from the fight.

Well I enjoyed it...the talent is all there, but the game in florida looked alot better then the one in Vegas...I'm going to keep watching it cause the rules and camera angles are more exciting then the nfl

I think if this league were to continue to play in the spring and not go head to head with the NFL, and if they could increase the salaries and recruit some big name players I think they could last. I enjoyed it all except that QB for the NY/NJ team...he was a bit of a weenie

I think the problem was just that they showed the wrong game on TV for the debut. The NY/NJ Hitmen *REALLY* suck. I'm sure we'd all have different opinions about the XFL if they had shown the Orlando/Chicago game instead. When they switched over during the 4th quarter (that tells you how badly the Las Vegas game sucked), I found the game very enjoyable.

The players were much better. Did you see the Orlando player catch a 2948324324324 yard interception in the last 4 seconds of the game? Did you see Chicago with 4 seconds left in the game STILL keep playing? When was the last time you DIDN'T see an NFL team go "wahhhh we lost, game's over" with only a few seconds to go?

I don't know about you, but I like what I like, and I like this. Hopefully today's game will be better.

And the moving camera RULES. Watch the NFL copy it... mark my words.

Yo Delinquent!

I had nose bleeders in the EE section with a bunch of my buddies.
You may have seen us. We had letters painted on our chests spelling out RAGE.
Were you near the brunette who was flashing? You would remeber her if you know who I'm talking about. WOW!

The nfl already has a diff, camera ---the superbowl used one, that was cool

As far as the nfl using those diff. cameras --they wont----Nfl is very sucessfull---They have the best camera people in the world --Dont you think they have already experimented with this type of stuff---Football is not a clean game and by using the XFL camera work you can really see that---Its not a big sell---too much going on---broadcasters make the game and the XFLs were bad----but it still gives us football---I just dont think Mcmahn belongs in football nor did he belong in bodybuilding comps---
