On a Canadian two dollar bill, the flag flying over the Parliament building is an American flag. Why is this?     | ||

Here's some more trivia for you. The Canadian 1 dollar coin has a picture of a loon on it. The coin is was nicknamed the "loonie". Then they replaced the 2 dollar bill with a coin. It got nicknamed a "toonie". | ||

Yeah, we havent had 2 dollar bills for a few years, but there was a series made that they fucked up and put the US flag there...itwas quite humourous at the time and it was too expensive to redo them so they left them. Shortly after was when they made up the toonie. | ||

I'm looking at a 5 right now, and I can't tell what kind of flag it is. Doesn't look like a Canadian flag anyhow. And I have a new 10 here too, and it doesn't really fit in with the rest of our money.....weird lookin'. | ||
