Put on the Sci-Fi channel now or at 11pm... Dave Mustaine is going to be on some suck-ass TV show show with some Batman-wannabe girl. Black Scorpion I think it's called.

Enjoy

Fuck, I don't have the Sci-Fi channel. Oh well. I love Megadeth too. So what's your favorite Megadeth album? I think Cryptic Writings and Killing is My Business are my favorites, but I like Countdown to Extinction also. Thanks for the heads up anyways Warik.

Countdown to Extinction is one of the most technically perfect albums Megadeth or any other metal bands could put together. Too bad Nick Menza and now Marty Friedman are gone...wonder what they're gonna do?

I agree with Sexual Mustard's technical perfection comment. It sounds so absolutely crystal clear and clean; however, my favorite albums are Rust in Peace and Cryptic Writings.

The World Needs a Hero will be another one of my favorite albums when it comes out (I think it comes out in May) because I've already listened to half of it. I like it so much that I'm going to actually go out and buy it. =)

Too bad the show sucked... they killed off Dave in the first half hour. His one-liner's ruled, though.

Cop: "Freeze!"

Dave: "No thanks. I don't like freezing cops... I like burning 'em!"

That and having like 3 or 4 different Megadeth tunes playing during the fighting scenes was cool.

If you watch it at 11pm just turn it off after Dave dies because the show really really does suck. =)

I don't know if Marty is in it. Some of the songs are previously recorded that were not on any albums, so they might have Marty playing, but others might be completely new.

They kick ass... "When," "Return to Hangar," and "Promises" are the best I've heard so far.

If you love Hangar 18, you'll love Return to Hangar even more. I think it's quite possibly the first sequel to a song that actually MAKES SENSE.

I remember listening to The Unforgiven II and wondering: "Ok what does this have to do with The Unforgiven?"

Return to Hangar lyrics are awesome, too.

Peace sells was my favorite. I bought the Greatest hits album and thought it was cool too. They really rock. I remember going to see them when in high school and how awesome it was. They're probably my favorite hard rock band when it comes to total time listened to.

Hey here's a question...who here thinks that Ride the Lightning sounds a whole hell of a lot like Mustaine??!! I listened to it recently and thought all the riffs and lyrics seemed awfully close to the style of Megadeth's.

Ya gotta remember, Dave used to be part of Metallica, and he and James Hetfield kinda started that thrash/speed/chunky power metal riff stuff. So that may explain the similarity.

Also, anyone else think Megadeth does awesome concerts? As far as sounding just like the albums? They rock...I hate it when bands that I go see live ad-lib and change their playing around and sing differently than the way you hear it on the albums, and experiment on different sounding drum beats and solos (like Metallica and Pantera). White Zombie also did really tight shows that sounded like the albums.
