How often do you personally think about suicide, 'cause I honestly consider it several times/day...

every once in a while, i ponder it. i wonder what things would be like if i were gone, what would happen immediately after etc.

then i think about how things arent going too bad for me now, and there is no reason to go unless its 'my time'.

the main things that get me off thinking about that, is the unknown possibilities of directions my life can still take. too many new things to do and see. its never worth ending life because everything can be turned around.

plus, dying is extremely catabolic, and i hear that they dont pack any chicken in a casket with you. hehe

I had consiedered it a few time before in my life, but only after a bout of depression (why else?). It's an emotional stage that's very delicate. There is usually only one or two reasons you might consider it, but ask yourself how many reasons there are to NOT ever consider it. You'll see that the latter will always outnumber the former. Slow down and take things one at a time. Most of us on here have probably thought about it at one point or another, but mostly as a way of getting out of a bad situation. It doesn't really solve anything. Once you overpower your negative emotions, you'll come out stronger. Hang in there buddy, and post on message boards if you ever need some assistance.

i agree with the other guys/gals. i've been there a few years ago and now the thought never enters my mind, probably hasn't for over a year now. you seem like you have lots of goals and all which would keep you focused, what's the problem? that's what keeps me busy, trying to improve and accomplish my goals.

What the fuck are you talking about man, you go to Texas A&M, your young and in great shape, probably get laid a lot since everyone at A&M wants to fuck and all you can think about is killing yourself?

Thanks for the concern y'all...

Don't worry, I'm not sittin' around with a gun to my head, my girlfriend and I just got in a fight and she basically told me she'd rather be dead than anything like me, and I just needed to let off some steam...

Everything's cool, truuuuust me!

I used to every 5 mins or so. then I tried to kill myself and I didn't succeed (I crack up when I think of that - I was killing myself b/c I thought of myself as a failure... then I failed at killing myself. good one jackass.).
nobody likes a failed suicide - there are actual laws against it in most states, so I had to stay in the hospital, in the "psycho ward" for about 3 weeks. it straightened me right the fuck out. I saw so many people that were so far more fucked up than me, and I saw some seriously bad shit go down. anything to get out of there.
and they got me on Zoloft to fix the seritonin levels in my head. I later fucked that up and was off for awhile and now I'm back on.
things are going pretty damn well for myself now though, I pretty much got the hell out of that hospital as fast as I cold and never looked back.

if anyone on this board wants to talk suicide, I'm here.

I cant believe something that has to do with your girlfriend brought about a suicide post from you.

Are you cycling off and on heavy gear? This brings about mega mood swings.

This is not the first time a relationship has someone thinking about suicide. Is is possible that your partner is not as enthusiastic about body building as you are?

This is sometimes a regular occurance at my house. Although my wife exercises, she's not obsessed with her physique like most of us are. This will always bring controvery into a relationship. You are not alone in your struggle. Just remember, when you hit these kinds of mental lows, when you come out of it you'll appreciate life that much more. The struggle is what makes us stronger in all areas of our lives.

By the way, I used to have those thoughts from time to time when I was coming off a booze bender. Since I gave it up 5 years ago, I don't have the same kinds of ups and downs. Keep your chin up.

OK, this is the deal...like I said, my g/f and I got in a big fight and all, etc., etc., and I got all p*ssed off at the world...

We've talked about it now, and PLUS, after attempting to start my own little 'Fight Culb' with my friend tonight and severely scaring the sh*t out of him, I FEEL MUCH, MUCH BETTER...

Again, thanks for the support, it's odd that I get more of it here than in real life lately...!@#$%%^&*

Pull yourself together, man! There's always another day. Besides, you don't sound like someone who's seriously fucked in the head: you go to a good school and you've got a girl. Shit, bro, BE HAPPY! Some people have never had the pleasure of being normal. Imagine being an outcast all your life, and never having any friends. How would that make you feel? Remember, there's someone else out there whose life is a hundred times worse than yours.

Badskins----let me share a story--I had a friend who broke up with his GF of 3 years he then got drunk and shot himself with his grandfathers war rifle. None of us saw it coming, its just the overwhelming depression and alcohol put him over the edge, so even though you feel fine now, you won't if you break up with your GF, and judging by your comments, suicide may cross your mind.

His mom found him with a fucking hole in his head, she fainted, sold the house and moved to California, its been 2 years and I along with many many others think about him a lot. Basically, I only wish he would of talked to us before making such a drastic decision, but there is nothing we can do about it, he is gone forever and the only way to visit him is at a fucking cemetary. This one event put a huge dark could over my highschool years which were fun, but when I look back on them, I just get depressed, when I travel back home, I get depressed, all because of a broken fucking relationship.

Just keep in mind the amount of people you will hurt by being so selfish.

sorry to put it like this but thats the way it is.

my 2 cents.

I use to think of it often when I was alot
younger!
Now that I am older and I see life is too
short!! I never think of it anymore! Just think of all that you have going for you in your life!
Go out and have some fun!
Just remember everyone has something to offer
to the world!
You are SPECIAL!!

hell yes. i think of it all the time. doing the act is much harder than thinking about it though.

if you want to hang out with other suicidal people, go to alt.suicide.holiday at deja.com

the people there are pretty messed up inside, and you won't feel like a freak.

I don't think of it, I've been to 1 funeral of a person that committed suicide, and I knew another guy that commited suicide and have seen the effects it has on friends and family and would never want to put anyone through that. I do hit lows in my life quite a bit and feel like nothing I do can help me or save me sometimes. But why sould I or anyone else give up and lose and let the negative side win. Things can and do get worse, but like always things do eventually get better.
