i usually would say no cuz usually there is some sort of "dicking over" of the other person, so its not worth it to be a friend... but what if your relationship ended with both people being in love? i mean, that itself is hard enough right? what about remaining friends and watching and hearing about who that person dates... i mean, the thought of OTHER things happening comes into play, and since the love is/was still there, wouldnt that be a pain in the ass? worth it or not?

It can happen, but it is difficult. I must be a relationship that you both agree you can not make it togeter in a civil manner. It still is hard if you care for the person, because you do not want to see them with somebody else. I personally don't say friends, however I do still have one that I trade e-mial with about twice a week. It still kind of sucks. i 'm not sure why I keep emailing her back. Must be in love of some shit.

so the mature havoc would be willing to feel the pain each and every time this girl "moved on" or dated others? hmm, you are a strong man my brother.

It's hard because most break ups end on bad terms, otherwise they would'nt end. I have a had a few girlfriends move away, so we did'nt really have the chance. Always try and keep them around as fuck buddies as long as possible, which usually ends when one of the two meets someone else.

I tried it for about a year and a half with a few of my x's it worked out ok I guess, except we were always fuckin and then getting in "why do you use me" arguments. Silly really, it takes two to tango. ------------------ For a good time click here: Search and Profiles (300Kleens Board)

Generally - I'm with Havoc. Unless she did something really shitty, (yes it has been done to me) then I keep in touch. One day, she means so much to you and the next day she does not? Irrational. People who get hateful of people they once cared about just can't admit that it may be their own fault she left.

Kind of odd, but the one in which we hurt each other the most is the one I e-mail. Real odd. Tried a few months back to restart a 7 years old gap in a relationship. we phuck like animals for a couple of weeks and deside to no see each other again. It was fun for a couple of weeks, but there was no feelings for either of us other than lust.

I've had 2 long-term relationships. When both of them ended, I wanted their heads in bowling ball bags. (I've never had a mature breakup.)

Maturity? No. People who remain friends never really let go. Obviously, by definition, there is still a relationship there, whether sexual or not. If for some strange reason, no one was ever hurt and yet the relationship still ended, then maybe. But if someone has hurt you, there has been a breach of trust. If you can't trust your friends, who can you trust?

matt... people turn to hate because it makes it easier... its a way to trick yourself into healing better... i mean, it would be easy to get over someone you hated, but not someone you were crazy in love with...

I agree. Hatred can be a protection mechanism. "I love you so much I hate you". |
