We all know that for 10 or 11 years we raised Gabby's nephew as our own child, who now works as a bricklayer, and moved out. He know lives with his brother, and his brother's girl. For the holidays another brother and a cousin moves in temporarily... so there are 5 people living in this apartment. They call yesterday saying they are HUNGRY! That broke my heart. Gabby fixed them all dinner, and today is going to the grocery to by them food. Was that the wrong thing to do?     | ||

5 People living together in one apartment couldn't afford to buy food. What are they spending their money on Johnny? It was not wrong to buy hungry people food ... I'd just be suspicious. [This message has been edited by May1010 (edited January 04, 2001).] | ||

I know the brother and the cousin don't work because they are just visiting, but the oldest brother works as a kirby vacuum salesman (do they make any money?), the girl works at jack in the box, and of course our kid is a bricklayer (but I don't think he works 40 hours a week). I know they smoke weed (like they think i don't know), but that's about it I imagine. | ||

I don't know what to say because this still lays ahead of me...but heed May's words. It was not wrong to bring some food over to the kids, but I'd be a little suspicious if they asked for more. ------------------ | ||

Nope......I've done the same thing many of times myself. You can't blame the children....I personally can't handle a childs pain....fucks me up bad!!!! Ranger | ||
