I am getting ready to start dieting for the summer and my bro at work told me to do a colan cleansing treatment and that I could lose a couple of inches off my waist?? anyone ever tried??? what is it all about>??

It really depends on who you ask. As a general rule, the medical profession scoffs at the practice, stating that it is unnecessary, and that anything passed in the process is only undigested material (fiber) that was put into the cleanser to begin with. I don't think you'll get a straight answer here or anywhere else. Here is a site featured in Maxim about the subject: www.colonblow.com . While the site is very tounge-in-cheek, they do claim health benefits from using their product. They, of course, are less than objective on the subject. I have read many articles on the subject, and most of the "qualified" professionals agree that the practice is completely useless, and could potentially have undesired effects. On the other side of the argument, many natural food vendors insist that "detoxifying" your body is essential to good health, and that 90% or more of the population have impacted colons. I don't know, but I tend to side with the MDs.
