Has anyone done this? I was wondering if it is bad mojo to mix a very low carb diet with something like 19-nor or tribulus. Just a question I've been wondering about. Please post any insight or experiences. Thanks in advance.

I read that it won't work. Something about the fact that the liver will not have adequate glycogen to perform, the conversion of prohormone, to the active hormone.

If you are taking a prohormones you obviously want to put on size correct??? You cant put on size on the Atkins diet. You need carbohydrates in your diet!!!! You have to decide if you are cutting or bulking or what your goals are. Is there a reason you are on this diet?? If you are trying to put on size, dont waste your money on prohormones and eat under 17 carbs a day. You will not grow

his goal is probably to maintain the LBM he has, not gain it. with any diet you'll lose muscle, so why not try anything you can to minimize it...

i really dont think prohormones work, but if you wanna give it a try check out this article by the EVIL biotest: http://www.testosterone.net/html/body_107fat.html
and http://www.testosterone.net/html/body_113fat.html

Actually, I'm not on either. Someone asked me whether it would be a good idea. Since I don't use prohormones, then the point for me is moot.
As far as the notion that CKD will not increase mass is somewhat inaccurate. A 5-day CKD will help in the eventual mass building when followed by timely carbo surges. Since starvation in almost any form will increase growth hormone levels.
I thought it was a definite thinker of a question given that the hormone substrates are high in direct correlation to increased fatty acid synthesis.

Thanks for your responses. I'll pass along the information that it's probably not a great idea.

Aaaaaah this is a very good question. It first asks the question 'are prohormones any good?', then asks the question 'if they are any good, will they still be good on a keto diet?"

I have no personal experience, but I am intrigued by the question. I am also pretty confident that there will never be any clinical trials designed to answer these questions LOL. Nuttin' but theory that says that prohormones are not much use to your average male, and that ketogenic diets deplete the liver of a lot of it's normal enzyme functions. Putting 2+2 together, I wouldn't try it but that doesn't mean it won't work!

Back Doc is correct about mass building while using a CKD. Although it is tricky and requires a very well thought out plan, it is possible. Mauro DiPasquale first wrote the book "The Anabolic Diet" for this reason, putting on mass without gaining fat. I find it very difficult to keep up with the calories on the weekdays.
That T-mag article was very interesting. Although I didn't really see a gain from androsol, I have several friends that can't live without it. Different strokes for different folks.
