I heard Nobu say that you should do them at least 8 hours apart.

I am asking for all to reply with opinions on this!

A lifter at my gym said do 20-25 min low intensity after you lift cause your glycogen is already depleted and you'll burn fat the second you step on the treadmill. (makes sense to me)

????????????????????????

I THINK I AM GOING TO TRY THAT. IT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA. I HAVE BEEN DOING CARDIO IN THE MORNING AT ABOUT 7:00 AND MY LIFTING ABOUT 4:OOPM WHEN I GET HOME AND HAD DECENT RESULTS.

If fatloss is your primary goal, then doing some cardio after a lifting session is a good idea. But so is cardio first thing in the am, with lifting in the evening. Either one is good, and I do both as I get closer to a show and have to shed those last (hardest) fat reserves.

If you can't do cardio 1st thing in the morning, after a workout is next best.

#1Cardio in am....the best
#2-After lifting good for low glycogen in muscles, HOWEVER, doing cardio in the morning and lifting in the evenings keeps you metabolism at a higher rate then just just doing physical exertion once during the day
BOTTOM LINE---do cardio in the AM and lift whenever you're scheduel will allow or you have the most pump, AM or PM

Doesn't anyone know how to do cardio without a gym these days?? Walk up a hill, walk on the flats if you have to. Get on a bicycle and go for a slow spin. Find a long flight of stairs to go up and down. Don't just be a treadhead. And yes, you'll have to get up extra early to fit it in before school, but do you want to be well rested, or come in shredded for your competition? Let's face it, if you're on a low carb diet and are pretty lean, you're not sleeping very well anyway so make the most of it. Gulp down an ECA at 4 am and go burn some fat.

Best cardio is outta the gym....change the scenery and you won't get sick on one place....don't have to sacrafice sleep for cardio...actually its a bad idea because sleep is when you body rebuilds yourself, and that muscle that not getting rebuilt if you cut it short. Just go to bed early. If you training hard you'll be dreaming of you bed way before you hit it.
