what do you guys think of this response from Supplement Direct...

Attached is the exact email response that I recieved from Supplement Direct concerning their false (or FAR from accurate) claim of nutrition information on their Dextrose.

==============================================
We've already responded and therfore do not feel the need to.

Upon the next run labels if we feel the label needed to be adjusted we will
do so. If not we will not.

Material changes from shipment to shipment and the law allows for that in
labeling.

What do you guys think of this? Does the law allow upto a 30+% of error on their food label? This really concerns me because that's quite a percentage difference. If any of you have any web resources in such regulation(s), please post the link.

Well it's a curt responce, that basically tell you to go fuck yourself and "we will fix it if we feel like it" attitude.

I am seriously considering report this to the proper authority. However I don't have the knowledge and the resources to do so. I am open to any suggestions or informations that will aid me in this matter..THANK YOU in ADVANCE.

Not worth it IMO.

They probably have a huge supply of labels they have to use. They won't change the label until they use them up.

that is not a very clever answer...

do they want to lose some more customers ?

I always thought they were pretty accurate, I know the partner that owns part of the subsidy. I'll contact him on monday, it just seems strange.

Mr.X, please let us know what you find out. I asked the same question of them and they relpied with a very vague answer. "Dave" said that if I wanted to be accurate about THEIR product I would have to use a digital scale. I thought the reply SUCKED!! If your label has incorrect information, you should correct. PERIOD!!!!

I used a digital scale (30 bucks from walmart) to obtained the conflicting result against the label...
