over here a far right party has made a political broadcast accusing islam of being the greatest threat to the west since hitler and even had a sikh agreeing on the broadcast...obviously they are using the current political environment to their advantage but they raised one point which was sadly irrefutable
the leader of the racist party stated that their had been numerous acts of terror and barbarism commited by Islamic extremists, and that only a handful of muslim leaders had openly condemned these attrocities...
It is true that the west has had similar attrocities commited in its name, but the difference is that there are people here who are not proud of this...to date i have only met a handful within the islamic community who would denounce these acts even though they are being commited in their name, and until they do more frequently and in greater number they will continue to be villified...it is completely irrational for people to complain about islamaphobia until this happend
