DNP and brain damage

that most definitely indeedy WAS an ass handing to if Ive ever seen one :FRlol:

can't take credit for the research, that was done by another fine member, but people need to learn to read and shut their mouths before making claims that are not backed.

time to get your ass handed to you

http://boards.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=138664&highlight=cancer+dnp+studies

Is DNP safe?

Here's my research. This is AMAZING! Not only has not a single test found it to be carcinogenic, but test after tyest after test find that DNP actually ATTACKS cancer cells, and helps anti-cancer medications work better, and helps anti-leukemia medications work without destroying cell DNA, and suppresses tumor growth by 20-50%. The summaries are all right here, friends. Karma me up!

DNP is Ames negative, and does not promote tumors. See for yourself at http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/

http://www.epa.gov/ttn/atw/hlthef/dinitrop.html reports on health risks. While there have not been human studies, animal studies found no cancers caused by DNP administration. It is considered a toxin because it causes nausea, sweating, and weight loss.

http://www.cyberiron.com/drugs/dinitrophenol.html reports on halth risks from external exposue. In other words, don’t get it in your eyes, or on your skin if you’re allergic. Pretty elementary stuff.

http://www.ebec2000.com/abstracts/056.htm This animal study documents a 64% increase in metabolism. "These findings confirm that DNP effectively increases metabolic rate..." Duh.

http://www.zymed.com/pdf/04-xxxx/04-8300.pdf A PDF file about an antidote to DNP.

http://www.boehringer-ingelheim.es/...glesa/cap13.htm finds that DNP did not activate liver enzymes (MAT) associated with liver damage

to say that dnp is safe because it doesn't cause cancer or activate liver enzymes is moronic. the LD50 of dnp is less than 50mg/kg-bw which puts it in the most lethal class of hazardous chemicals.
wrestling with aligators probably won't cause cancer either, but i wouldn't call it safe...

however there's a right way to do everything including a right way to consume dnp, but to put on the pretense that this chemical will not harm you is ridiculous.

ferris: not all PHENOLS are carcinogens. most are, but dnp is not.

somkinghawk: dnp raises core body temp like you wouldn't believe. don't believe all the "reports" out there that tell you otherwise. however, unlike some other metabolic enhancers dnp is an extremely strong vasodilator, mostly because of the core body temp it generates. this vasodilation coupled with the water retention effectively brings the heat closer to the surface of the body to be dissipated, thus reducing the core body temp. (this is why water retention occurs while on dnp). however if you ingest too much dnp or if you are in a hot environment where there is a small difference between the environment temp and surface body temp then the surface of the body can not effectively cool and core body temp lethally rises.

i'm not siding with one side or the other here. i'd just like to clear up some things i feel have been misrepresented in the past.

I tried it. I took 200 mg/d for 3 days, then 400 mg/d for 2 more before I stopped it. It made me hungry. In fact, it made me crave carbs so bad I couldn't fight it and I ate carbs like a motherfucker while on it. Finally at 400 mg/d it made me feel sick like I had a bad virus and I was too tired to work out and still craving carbs. I would say all in all I gained about 3-4 lbs on it, all fat. So that was my experience but I have never heard anyone else report this. I tried it. Didn't like it. Won't try it again.

Thank you! I appreciate the quote.

Well the bottom line is you can state this study says that and this one says this, most are old anyway. I guess we will all know when we are still posting here in our late 50's............

Here, Here........ I hope we all will be.

The crazy thing is, I do feel that alot of advances in medicine could come from true human studies instead of using animals...

We all respond to things differently.

Jesus. DNP? Have any of you ever been ill. Have you forgotten what it feels like? Why not just do cardio. Clen and T3 I can at least understand. But DNP? That's fucking crazy. You people are deluding yourselves. No one in thier right mind would mess with that shit.

absoultely correct, I'm planning my next 10 day DNP cycle now, 500mg a day for 10 days while on test and deca to minimize muscle lost.

someone should do a case study of ef members who have used dnp for ingestion and the side effects they all got, if any. ie sweating, nausea, vomitting, diarrhea, insomnia, diaphoria, skin allergies, asthma...

the cataract myth:

between 1933 and 1938 over 800,000 people used dnp for ingestion under medical supervision. 164 reported cataracts. i don't know what the incidence of cataracts is for the general population, but 164 out of 800,000 is a pretty small number.
