How much can squats Help?

Im 5'11" 195 lbs i've been working out for 6rys & you can tell by the stats im not small but no where near where I would like to be. I'd say if i lost my fat I'd weigh 175. We'll maybe small then

I know i will get yelled at for this but i never did squats or deadlifts all!! and iv'e just started no. I can bench 300lbs

My bulid is
Arms 16in
cheast 44in
thigh 21/2in
Calf 16in

What will a strict squat and dead lift routine do 4 me in size gains or is that just a bunch of bull

hey bro i just recently started doing squats and deads i left them out cause i didn't think they were that important. OMG was i wrong, I love them now deads are amazing for your back i've never felt a back workout until i did deads. same for squats doing sets of squats will kill you and make you want to stop but don't its worth it. The harder they are the more they got to work lol. good luck

The only analogy I can make is look at the build of people who don't squat or deadlift compared to people who do, granted there are exceptions to the rule, but in general people who squat and deadlift are bigger, stronger, and bench a lot more than people who are one dimensional.

p.s. (this does not include bench specialist powerlifters)

squats will work legs for sure but also bring into all other major muscle groups. they will make you stronger and bigger. dont leave out squats or deads.

Squats and deadlifts will make a world of difference in anyones build. Heavy squats and deads give an overall thickness that you just can't get from other lifts. Start off light, and work on form. After you got your form down perfect, the weight will start to pile on quickly, both on the bar, and the scale (if you eat properly that is!). Happy lifting :)

They make a world of difference. My arms are 2 inches smaller than yours but my legs are like 3-4 inches bigger (assuming your thighs are 21.5 and not 2.5 inches :p ).

Hmm I don't do any direct arm work, but I do squat and pull a lot, and my legs and arms are bigger than yours and I'm shorter :)
And heavier too...

Squat and DL really make a man :)

They all compliment each other and make you bigger and stronger. I'm the exception to the rule as far as build my legs are decently strong but I'm still all upper body. Squat max about 405 I hope in 3 more weeks, and dead max is 475.
Start doing them start nice and light and do a 5x5. It's an amazing feeling getting stronger at those lifts they are truly dynamic and require amazing power from your entire body it's a serious rush watching the maxes go up and the weight pile on.
