Well it took me 3 secs from start to finish, and 2 secs on the concentric - not bad, but not great, would have liked it to be around 1.5 secs. But that was pretty limit PR!
Wobbly!

Nice spike to the testosterone levels without a doubt!
I came, I tried and I conquered the squat baby!!!
New Max for the RAW Fully Oly Squat is 345lbs!
Damn all that visualisation/psyching up and off course exertion has me feeling pretty spent now
That's a gain of 30lbs in 8 weeks or 20lbs in 6 weeks. Last confirmed max was 315lbs. Calculated max was 325lbs 6 weeks ago. So a nice gain of 9.5 % in 8 weeks. Obviously my self designed training cycle worked pretty well - especially considering the fact it wasn't a squat specialisation one too!
And you will note I only ever went above 80% of 1RM about 25% of that time too, mostly around 70-75% and below, for 3 reps and higher volumes moved explosively.
closing in on a double bodyweight full oly squat
workout
---------------
Full Olympic Squat - No belt
Warmup sets - 45lbsx5, 95x3, 135x3, 185x3
Rest - 2 mins unless specified
225lbs x 3, 275lbs x 1, 305lbs x 1
I only spent enough force to just move these in a smooth controlled manner.
Rest 3mins - then full squat jump - rest 2mins
big visualisation and psyhce up session here
345lbs x 1 New PR!!
I saw stars! I also wobbled a bit at the sticking point
rest 5 mins, then 1 vertical jump - rest 30 secs
355lbs x missed
The weights going up felt heavier than normal, and I felt ,my lower back and posterior chain tense more. I think its because normally I do oly lifts before squats, and so today without them, they were not as warmed up or juiced/greased.
The vertical jump between the attmepts was 3 inches lower so I knew that I wasn't gonna make the 355.
I picked the weights perfectly I think - very happy!!!!!!
Core work and remedial work
Peterson Setups
rest - 1min
2kg+2kg dumbells
2x10 each leg
then
Rest - 30sec to 1 min between each alternating
Swiss Ball Crunches
Tempo 2110
BW 2x10
Reverse hypers (on hyper bench)
Tempo 2211
BW 1x15, 1x10
mainly just to get some reps and blood flowing after all those heavy singles .
