Has anyone ever trained with a broken leg!?

Is it possible to work the upper body, im talking about bench presses etc. with a broken leg? Its not in a cast but a brace, the bone is broke at the knee and non-weight bearing.

All my work and effort over the last year will disappear if i dont work out, and i miss it too.

Anyone any experiences/advice on the issue?

Without cardio, working out is pointless in my opinion. Also, are you going to work your upper so much that your lower looks retarted? I would just eat healthy while your leg is broken and start working out after your rehab is finished.

In any way good luck with whatever you decide.

How do you figure? I haven't done cardio in a year and have made greater gains than ever before.

With that said, it's going to be tough to make real progress without squatting and deadlifting. I'd take this time and specialize in your bench press. Work on it like crazy; close grips, pin press, bands, everything.

You can probably get cardio with the heavy bag. . .I use it pretty much every day after I get done with my workout. . .great cardio, great for the abs and low-impact on the lower body.

However, I would check with the bone doc before I did anything.

Bench press, chins, dips, seated over head press, tricep extensions, seated lateral raises. Those are the main things i would focus on.

Day 1 bench press, chins and dips.
Day 2 seated over head press, tricep extensions and seated lateral raises.
Twice a week.

AI can you help? This is really urgent. I think I've split one of my fingernails and I need to lift tomorrow. What can I do?

We have several people who train at my gym with serious issues. One guy is in a wheelchair with very little use of his legs. He uses machines most of the time, except for curls which he does sitting in his chair. All the others he wheels his chair up to the machine and drags himself up to do a workout. Then there is the young guy, early 20's, who lost his leg below the knee in Irag. He seems to be able to find a way to get his workouts in.

I think if these people can do it, then you should be able to find a way. At least that's the way I look at it when I go in and don't feel like finishing my workout.

Oh it's OK. You can all stop the panic. It was just a bit of food stuck to the nail.

The other night at work I got a shard of metal stuck all the way under my nail, into the base of it. It was throbbing and swelled up red. I didn't notice it until I pointed and someone was like "Man, what the fuck happened to your finger?".

Man, that shit hurt.
