Enforcing the current gun laws isn't important. It's about exploiting the latest tragedy for political gain that matters. I hate politicians.....

I would disagree that it ONLY affects those who do not break the law. Those who do break the law would have less availability to guns because there are less (legal) guns in the environment. Not everyone goes to the black market or can pick one up at the drop of a hat.
