Deadlift Videos 585 and 600

Tuesday I decided to deadlift again, even though I had gone for a max on Thursday last week (only 5 days of rest). I had planned on attempting 585 RAW, but after I got to 565, the owner of the gym, asked if I was going to go suited. I told him my suit hadn't gotten in yet. He had this old ass marathon deadlift suit (it was about 15 years old) that he said that he would let me try it out. I put it on for the 585 attempt. Nailed it pretty solid. Then attempted 600. I missed the 600, but it was close. Maybe if I hadn't wasted so much energy with the RAW lifts, and had a week rest from the last max out, maybe i would have gotten it. Can't say for sure. But I'm gonna go for it again next week.
Anyways, here are the videos. I'm too lazy to edit them, and make them shorter. I weighed myself in on the day at 212. If you look at the bar, you might think that 600 isn't loaded on it. When I did the 585 we had the small (1lb) collars on the bar, when we went to 600, we added the 2.5 plates, and used the big collars (10lb collars).

Thanks for posting, the 585 was real solid. Great speed off the floor on them both, and the 600 really wasn't far off...a week of rest on heavy deads makes a world of difference, and your form is right on and the strength is there, so it is just a matter of time and getting to 600 under good conditions.

212? Are you trying to cut weight or do you just weigh in at where you end up? You compete in the 220s, right?
 
Nice vids as always. I'll be surprised if 600 doesn't go up next week when you're fresher. Will you have your suit by then?

Also, just noticed T's edit about the weight and was wondering the same thing...
 
my weight has been all over the place lately, b/c I haven't been eating enough to maintain the weight. part of it is b/c its summer, and i want to look some what ripped, and part of it is just b/c i haven't paid much attention to what i have been eating.

as far as the suit...i ordered one of the new inzer fusions at the beginning of june. all they wanted was a hip size, and it came in way too big. they tell us to pin it on me, make marks where it needs to be tailored, and to give them measurements (hips, waist, chest, height and legs) so we did that. that was two weeks ago. called about it, and they said that they had one of the suits done (we had to send two of them back). hopefully mine will be in by monday. wont' know until then...
 
shit all these dl vids making me want to dl again.. i took a break for the summer to work on muscle mass in the upper body..

so close man, you could have had that with a tiny hitch so props to you for not cheating it up.
