Has anyone ever tried Sambucol (black elderberry extract). it was developed during a influenza virus outbreak in Isreal. Those who took it developed positive changes in their antibodies and symptoms in 24 hours and most recovered within a week. Those who did not take it often took 6 weeks to get better. It was used in this initial study on over 100,000 people. All virus need to sort of inject themselves into our cells to live. Virus secret an enzyme that "softens" our cell walls in order to let the virus be able to inject itself through the wall. Sambucol deactivates this enzyme so it cannot inject itself. I have seen several people with variopus virus (CMV, EBV, Varicella, HPV as well as just the flu) use this and have excellent results.
Also has anyone tried Laurid acid? One of the trade names is monolaurin. Many virus envelope themselves in our own tissues, especially the fatty lining of our nerves. When it is encased in our own tissues our immune system has a hard time attacking it without damaging our own tissues. monolaurin sort of pops it out of our tissue leaving the virus naked so that our immune system can aggresively attack the virus without injuring our own tissues in an autoimmune reaction. THE CDC ( Centers of Disease control in Atlanta Ga) has done quite a bit of research on this product and it has been shown to be effective on many virus, but they have never tried it on HIV. I have not seen as much results with this as with Sambucol but I have seen both of them work.
I have never had the opportunity to see whether it works or not with someone with HIV, so I am interested in whether someone has tried it. Both are available OTC in many health food stores
