I'm going to a college near St. Louis. On the weekends, I head into the city for some hardcore workouts. I've tried 3 gyms so far and found they suck ass. Anyone know of some hole-in-the-wall gym that plays something other than easy rock while you lift, and have some members that know what intensity is? Help me out. -Blackop ![]()

Checked out the YMCA in Chesterfield...out next to the mall? It is great, if you like pretty boys in their $100 aerobic suits and watching tv at a theatre and all the pampering that goes along with it. Look around...find a dungeon. B True ![]()

Isn't there a Gold's or World Gym downtown? On the Illinois side about 15 minutes from downtown there is a decent gym at Collinsville off of 55/70. It is called Leisure World, it has machines and aerobic equipment in one section and then way in the back all the free-weights and hammer strength equipment is in a room by itself. It is not really a dungeon, but I really liked the atmosphere when me and some friends were members years ago. Manana.... ![]()

Blackop-Try Powerhouse, it is in South St Louis County. It is a serious gym, kinda tight on space, stinks a bit, but they have everything you need. [This message has been edited by JayDog (edited November 06, 2000).] ![]() |
