Well, I decided to contact a professor and see if he has any evidnce to support the claim that TA effects the kidney. This is his response...

Actually TBOH stands for Tren. Hydroxide which is a metabolite of TA. Being that it's concentration is 5 parts per billion, it is a relatively insignificant amount. 5 ppb is roughly equivalent to .005 mg/L. One thing you have to watch out for with Fina is that the melting point is relatively low, about 96-97 degrees F. That's why it's shipped with dry ice. Once it's diluted in methanol I'm not sure how that effects it's physical properties. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||
