Ok, guys, pull out the bag of tricks- what is the EASIEST way to open an amp! I have the damndest time with those little fuckers...any tips? ------------------     | ||

I had the same problem, but get yourself a 3-sided file at your local hardware store. And just score the necks of em. Then get a pen top of a Bic pen and put that over the neck and just snap it off. PEACE | ||

I've never had a problem popping these amps open. I'm always reading about how people open them, with scoring files or knives. All you have to do is hold the amp with a closed fist (with your arm in like a hammer curl posistion), hold it tight, and use your thumb, apply pressure, (more like a quick snap), and the top of the amp will bust right off. I don't get shards of glass anywhere, nothing. Try it once. | ||

i see these post all the time and i laugh.....why dont you guys invest $4.20 and buy a damn amp opener????????? i never had a problem with them and you will save your amps from breaking......and you will save your ass from getting glass particles in it www.neoforma.com hit search then type amp opener ------------------ | ||
