If i inject about 4-5 inches away from my Knee cap in the middle of the thigh, would that be ok ?

In my opinion, hell no that wouldn't be okay. You need to move your hand up your leg quite a bit further than that. I'm about 6 ft tall, and I would go about a foot up from my kneecap for the spot of penetration. You need to make sure that there is plenty of muscle where your injecting.
