One of the mechanisms of Effexor (antidepressant) is to block norepinephrine reuptake. Does that mean it would be a no-no to combine a norepinephrine stimulator like ephedrine???     | ||

effexor is not a MAO inhibitor so it is fine to take with ephedrine | ||

Since it blocks reuptake of norepinephrine very high, you could have some possible side effects. Maybe increase blood pressure, jitteryness, increase heart rate, etc. Most people don't usually have a problem though. |
