My veins hurt so bad. It's from the drugs, demeral I think, that they gave me while I was in the hospital. They are hard and very sore. They said to put a warm, wet towel on it, and I did, but it doesn't seem to help much. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me out? IP: Logged |

No suggestions bro but it is from the demerol Mine hurt for 3 days after my knee surgery!!! My vein swelled up bretty bad!! ------------------ IP: Logged |

I know niacin cleans the wall so veins and dilates them, but I am not sure I would try it with this condition. sounds like they are inflamed or burned from the drug. IP: Logged |

3 days? I wish. It's been 2 weeks since the first time I was in, and that vein still hurts. It's been 1 week since the last time, and they used a different vein, and it hurts worse. IP: Logged |

dude, this is called phlebitis (sp?). i had a taouch of it but didnt really hurt. If still persists after a couple more days, call doc. maybe you can get some really cool pain killers.  a couple of aspirin may also help. good luck.IP: Logged |
