Danny boy claimed that the active ingredient, keto-whatever blocks DHT at the scalp. I believe this is bullshit. The only benefit it might serve is that it reduces the inflammation of hair folicals, which is a result of DHT. Doesn't really block it just treats the symptoms, personally for me it made my hair fall out. If u want something worth buying go with proscar or xandrox. Nizoral sucks!! bottom line.

I am not losing my hair yet but my father was bald at the age of 22(I'm 29). So subsequently because of my father I am super paranoid about hair loss. I use nizoral and I no longer get inflamed follicles. This makes me less paranoid.

I still haven't tried Nioxin, does it require a prescription?

bro hairloss has nothing to do with your father, the gene is carried over from your mothers father, so however he was, u will be very similar.
