I haven't been there in several years and am making a trip soon. I've heard rumors months ago that a passport would be required in the future, is there any truth to that? Or are my driver's license and soc. sec. card still enough? [This message has been edited by B182 (edited April 26, 2001).] ![]()

I was down to Cabo five weeks ago. ID and passport will work fine, passport is just quicker and easier. ![]()

Damn that sucks because a few of my friends don't have passports and it takes about 6 weeks to get one. Any one else go recently? ![]()

Went to Cancun last year, didn't have a passport or birth certificate.. Had to sign an "affidavit of citizenship" at LAX before I got on the plane, paid $20 I think and that was all I needed (along with my ID). ![]()

Mexico isn't all that tough with passports. For the most part this is the general rule. If you are a citizen of a country that is directly connected to another country (in this case Mexico or Canada) passports aren't really a must. If you have your drivers lisence, your social security card, and another form of picture ID such as a bank card with your picture on it. (in my case I use my student ID) you should be fine. ------------------ ![]() |
