Just wondering what everyone thought the best time of day to lift was. I personally love to hit the gym up at 6 when just opens and is empty. ![]()

Since nutrition plays such a major role, I'd say in the afternoon after you have consumed the nutrients needed for gains. ![]()

When i am not in college during the summer, I love to lift at 11am....I eat breakfast at 8:15 or so and it works out perfectly, also I have the most energy then....Now I am working out at 4pm everuyday....Not a bad time either, because I have dinner right after it.... ![]()

Whenever you feel the strongest is the best time.I like 500am but some times I switch it up to shock the system. ![]()

It is important to get at least 2 of your meals after your workout as your body makes best use of these, & it is better to have some protein & carbs in you 1.5 -2 hours before working out. This rules out late night workouts, & makes early AM workouts less than ideal for muscle building; probably mid-afternoon is optimal. ![]() |
