My cholesterol is almost 400 (total). HDL was down to 5, yes 5 while the LDL and tryglicerides were very high. My doc put me on lipitor and it got much better while I was off AS. Question.. Anybody take lipitor while on AS and should I be aware of harder side effects? I know that lipitor does and can cause liver damage. Thx...     | ||

I had used lipitor "atorvastatin" currently 40mg/day, it was fine but I got some side effects including Skin rash, Nausea, Stomach pain, general gastric & bowel problems and Headache also the doctor had prescribed 20grams of Essential fatty acids " a combination of Fish oil, Wheat germ oil, flax seed oil, Primrose oil " and of course he gave me a food plan to keep everything alright Good luck | ||

How much were you taking, for how long and how long had you been off when you got the blood work done? | ||
