Is it to aid absorption, or to help with nausea, or both? at 25 mgs ed I have had no nausea.

That's mainly suggested to act as a bufferer for any stomach discomfomfort that might arise if taken on an empty stomach.If it doesn't irritate you,then don't worry about it....
