You must use caution when trying to open those amps. They have a reputation for breaking easily. You must obtain a good amp file and score the neck well before attempting to pop off the top.

I am using the same ones (sust). I wasn't scoring them at first, but then I shattered one and lost all my sust. So I bought a file and found that even if you score it just a little on 1 side, the top comes off very easily.

I am using the same nile amps. they are not scored. i use a jewlers file to score them and have no problems with popping the top.

Same here.........both my partner and i are using the white amps.......all it takes is a little score with a file.

I am using them now too. I use the side of a can opener. haven't lost one yet.
